I exercise for fun, not to win contests. I like to explore at an easy pace, stopping to snap photos and smell the roses. Varied terrain doesn’t scare me, but let’s not do anything too extreme.

- See African elephants, jaguars, grizzly bears and more than 800 other species at the San Diego Zoo.
- Let’s boogie! Spend a day boogie boarding and kayaking in Mission Bay.
- Throw your hands up and squeal as you ride the rollercoaster at Belmont Park, a historic amusement park on the beach!

Great trip for active grandchildren.
— Review left July 20, 2024
My wife and I have been on 3 Road Scholar trips and enjoyed every one. Two of these trips were grandparent/grandchild trips and we found them to be wonderful for the kids and interesting for the adults.
— Review left August 28, 2023
The attractions of San Diego are myriad, and this tour covers some of the best. Hotel was very nice with great view and breakfast with lots of variety.
I would encourage people to spend additional time in this beautiful city
— Review left August 7, 2023
Our granddaughter loved the "Seal Tour," the Zoo, the kayak trip, Boogie Boarding, the Birch Aquarium, and Belmont Park. (Her grandparents did too!) We were disappointed by some mis-cues regarding scheduled meetups with field trip leaders, and the lack of kid-friendly food options.
— Review left July 31, 2023
Our granddaughter fulfilled her 'bucket list' items of swimming/boogie boarding in the Pacific Ocean and loved every minute.
